Make sure you are logged into Chrome using your district login. Do not use Safari.

Problems:

• black screen
• no power/not charging
• touchscreen and stylus issues 
• keyboard and trackpad issues
• no sound
• microphone and camera not working
   
• Hard reset/reboot
  Video Instructions 
  • Connect the Chromebook to the charger and plug in to a power outlet
  • Push both the Refresh key on the keyboard (circular arrow above the number 4 key) and the power button down once.
  • Try turning the Chromebook back on (it may take up to 10-15 seconds to turn on)
     
• Check for Chrome OS updates

  • Click the three dots at the top right corner ⋮, select Help and click About Google Chrome
  • Click Chrome OS Settings
  • Click Check for updates
  • It will either start downloading an update or tell you your Chromebook is already up to date 
    • Available updates are based on BSD IT policy, to ensure compatibility with state testing resources

Problems:

• can't login 
• blank page/no content
• images/sounds not loading
• buttons/features not working

• Disable uBlock:
  • Go to the website where you want to disable uBlock Origin. In the upper right corner of the Chrome browser, click on the uBlock Origin icon in the toolbar. ...
  • The uBlock Origin's popup window will appear. Click the large blue power button to turn off uBlock Origin for the current site. 

• Clear the cache
  • Click the three dots at the top right corner ⋮, select More Tools... and click Clear Browsing Data...
  • Select Advanced
  • Time Range set to All Time
  • Check the following boxes:
    • Cookies and other site data
    • Cached images and files
  • Click Clear data
  • Wait a few moments for it to finish clearing everything
  • Once it's done, close and re-open the Chrome browser
     
• Reset settings to default
  • Click the three dots at the top right corner ⋮ and click Settings
  • Click Advanced on the left side of the window
  • Click Reset settings
  • Click Restore settings to their original defaults
  • Click Reset settings
  • Close and re-open Chrome once it's finished with the reset

• Can't login into Apex?
  Students must log into Canvas to use Apex. When students click on an Apex link they will automatically be forwarded and logged into Apex.  There is no need to enter a username and password. However, if the link does not go all the way through to Apex and you are stuck on the blue Apex login screen, most likely the issue is that you are using Safari as your browser. Safari blocks the link to Apex. Please try Chrome or change your Safari Privacy Settings to allow cross-site tracking.

Do not use Safari or the Canvas app.

Step 1: Click on the Canvas app from Apps for Students

Step 2: Login with student email: (6 digit student ID)@bsd48.org. Example: 123456@bsd48.org

Step 3: Enter student password: found in ParentVUE. Call FLEX for assistance with passwords

Step 4: Once you are logged in, you can navigate to Course > Modules to find your assignments
