Kindergarten At FLEX

Our school day schedule is founded on flexibility. We have whole class live sessions, small group live lessons, and independent work time. Although the live sessions are scheduled, independent learning is flexible and can be completed throughout the day. Students and Learning Coaches can do what is best for them. 

Some kids and families like a structured schedule, some like to do things differently each day. At FLEX you can do whatever works best for you.

In Person Meetups

In addition to online learning, teachers hold optional in-person opportunities. During these, students receive live lessons from classroom teachers and specialists. Students get time to interact and build relationships with their teachers and classmates.

All classroom instruction and assessments are aligned to BSD Learning Targets

Curriculum will cover the same learning goals that students in a physical BSD classroom encounter. However, the activities and methods for achieving those goals may be different. For example, a mix of real-time and video instruction could be paired with projects that students choose in order to learn and demonstrate what they’ve learned.  

FLEX Online School follows the same calendar as the rest of the Beaverton School District.
